Chargers decide to start Phillip rivers 1st round draft pick hold out who was signed just a few days ago to start earlier then expected maybe as early as the second quarter, possible going into the fourth quarter. Coach's notes: Rivers has been throwing the ball high in his two practice sessions, he has been overthrowing the recievers at practice but will be given 2+ quarters including early in the second to work on timing.
